If you have any sense, you will understand why I absolutely love astronomy (that love encompassing stars, nebulaes, planets, moons, the world's multitude of space programs, and just about everything else). Space is awesome!!!!!! Believe it!!!!!! I am providing you with some nice bits of info and some amazing pictures to prove my views to you.
My first convincing bit of evidence is this gorgeous picture of the Sombrero Galaxy, taken by the Hubble telescope. This galaxy is huge, being millions and millions and millions and millions of miles wide. Comparing the Earth to this galaxy is like comparing a grain of sand to the Earth.
Next, we have this artist's impression of a recently discovered planet orbiting the star Gliese876. Pretty cool and fiery, eh?
Third up to the plate is this lovely image of Saturn's small moon Mimas, nicknamed "the Death Star moon." You can probably see why.
Our next picture is what I like to call the amazing whirlpool star thing. Another artist's immpression.I'm not sure what's up with the coloring, but it's still pretty cool.
For our fifth attraction, I would like to display this fabulous image of the Orion Constellation. Nifty, don't you think?
Ok, time for some fiery bits of flaming helium! The sun's methods of energy creation are so interesting, and the products are so wonderful and full of fire!
And now, for the grand debut of the fascinating rings of Saturn. Aren't they simply beautiful?
This is a rather pretty picture of some blue stars. They are the Pleiades, also called The Seven Sisters.
Alright. If you still don't think space is cool or you simply love it like me and want more random awesome information, you can go to these websites.
The Cassini-Huygens homepage, which provides wonderful details on the Cassini-Huygens mission, which is studying Saturn and its moons at this time.
